Harriet Denison lives in Portland, Oregon, close to Forest Park where birds and hiking trails provide daily contacts with nature.
Between adventures, Harriet worked as a consultant in non-profit management. She volunteered for ten years in the Women's Funding Movement finishing as Chair of the Women's Funding Network. She recently retired after working as the administrator for a progressive foundation for over twenty years.
When not writing, she enjoys singing, dragon boat paddling, gardening, hiking and travelling, usually with binoculars in hand.
She tries to balance living a responsible, sustainable, healthy lifestyle without going overboard.
Life isn’t measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. Dalai Lama
